JOHN DUKE, JR
John retired from Federal service after 27 years as a special agent in both the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the United States Secret Service. He is a native Alabamian living in Foley, Alabama where he volunteers with local emergency and law enforcement agencies.
He has been a firearms enthusiast, recreational shooter, and NRA member for many years. In addition to his NRA instructor certification, he has completed both the U.S. Secret Service and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center firearms instructor courses. During his federal service years, John instructed and qualified other special agents and task force officers in the use of all agency approved firearm systems and trained agents in alternative and less lethal uses of force.
He was awarded the FLETC Distinguished Weapons Expert designation for qualifying at the expert level on multiple weapon systems. John is looking forward to helping citizens become confident, safe and responsible gun owners.
